NIKE+ Fuel Band
Those who have been following my blog, already know that I was in New York for the past few days, here is a recap of how it all started…
A few weeks ago, I got a phone call from Nike Hong Kong, saying there is some type of new technology launch in New York and really wanted me to join this event as one of the Nike Influencers representing Greater China, I gladly accepted the challenge.
Not knowing much about the event, I took a 16 hour flight to New York and attended the event, with much anticipation the official press event took place on the 19th of Jan.

Arriving at the event, I didn’t know what to expect, along with the 19 other influencers from around the world, I felt like I was a character in a movie going to a secret mission.
The announcement was to launch Nike’s newest technology Nike+ Fuel Band.
Out comes Jimmy Fallon, the host of the event.

Next speaker was Nike’s CEO, Mark Parker.

The FuelBand takes the Nike+ data collection engine and expands it to a full day’s worth of activities, then combines it with a basic LED wristband for data reporting and interaction. Like previous versions of Nike+, the FuelBand can sync with an iPhone over Bluetooth or report straight back to your desktop computer via USB.
The concept is simple: you sert a daily goal of physical activity, which the FuelBand keeps track of via a built-in accelerometer. At the start of the day the color display is fully read, shifting to fully green as the user reaches his or her goal. You can measure progress in time, calories burned, steps, or the proprietary NikeFuel, a social metric that gives you more “points” for more strenuous activity. Sync the FuelBand with the iPhone app or the Nike+ website, and you get detailed goal tracking and motivation. - Slashgear

3 Nike Sports Icon’s, Kevin Durant, Carmelita Jeter, and Lance Armstrong

after the announcement the influencers were given a Nike+ Fuel Band and divided into groups to participate in two missions

The first mission to visit the Brooklyn Barbell Club.

The Second Mission was to visit Roberta’s Pizza Restaurant to make some Pizza’s

finally after the mission’s, I reached the goal set by Nike

I really like this Nike Fuel Band, not only is it very useful for daily exercise count, its also very fashionable and suits me. : )
